This view of the beautiful Vale of Lincoln shows the setting of this marginal site in a wider context. On the left is the village of Wispington with Lincoln Cathedral on the horizon and Minting and Baumber to the right. The terrain is marked by a natural amphitheatre sweeping in an arc towards the camera position with Baumber on the ridge looking towards Lincoln. This view is regarded as one of the best of Lincoln Edge and the whole vale showing Lincoln Cathedral (often in silhouette) high on the horizon.
The base point for all 8 turbines is low in comparison to the surounding land and so to find any meaningful wind the blade tips are proposed to reach 130 from the ground - that is 26 metres higher than anywhere in the whole of the Lincolnshire Wolds and towers down on everything for many miles including the aspect of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) that BWAG fears will be damaged for decades to come.
