BWAG carried out an examination during the summer of 2009 into the accuracy of the phot montages presented in the official documents by Enertrag UK. This report was presented to ELDC as part of our documented objections. ELDC was so concerned at our findings that they commissioned an independent study into the accuracy of the photomontages used as part of the minimal public consultation attempted by Enertrag UK. As such the representations given to the public, statutory consultees, district councillors and planning officials alike must be an accurate representation of the turbines as they will look if constructed. The ELDC commissioned study is due to be completed during December 2009 and we await the views of an independent organisation. If it is proved that the Enertrag images are wrong then the public will have been misled (intentionally or otherwise) and they will have some serious questions to answer.
In order to be open and transparent we would like to show you our findings ahead of any additional study report. You can make up your own mind as to the reasons for the anomilies we found from our heritage viewpoints as compared to those presented by Enertrag UK.
