turbine carbon footprint

each turbine will take 8 years too become carbon neutral running at full capicity,it is a fact that wind turbines in this country at best only run at 29% efficincy[government figures] therefore each turbine will take 24 years to become carbon neutral and the practical life of a turbine is 25 years.so each turbine will only produce 29%of capicity for 1 year [year 25] in the meantime all the tax payers in the u k will subsidise the landowner / the site operator / and the power generation company, now tell me that wind turbines are our life savers.[member of L O O T] and we won!

New noise issues at Bicker

Just to up date you all.. especially those sceptics that have been hoodwinked by the energy (lets have plenty of tax payers money ) brigade to line our pockets, while pretending we are saving the planet.....

Yet another site.. Bicker.. is producing noise problems.. from only 7 out of the 13 turbines the site is not finished ... go to the agast link on the welcome page and you can read the story in full... I am totally convinced that in addition to the Davies situation, there will be many more complaints coming.... If you think Enertrag,.. that you are going to try & fob us off then you are sadly mistaken.... If these do get built, I will personally hold you, the directors and John Ward responsible and will seek damages......

Well said Melvin, i don`t think you will be on your own with this one, not only from the noise, but from the well published articles on the devaluation of properties. There will be a lot more folk around the area who will be doing the same thing as you, and if there is any strengh in this, with the prospect of quite a number of litigation cases coming John Wards way i would like to think he could be a little concerned. Perhaps he might think twice about carring on with this application if he will have to fork out from his ill gotten earnings to compensate every body, there must be doubt in his mind, it would be in mine, perhaps this could be a test case for future developments?. After all how much would it cost for an individual to send him a writ,? (not a lot). and how much would it cost John Ward to defend a number of individual writs?(quite a lot).

Re: turbine carbon footprint

I'll be intrigued to see what writs you issue, I'm no expert on the law of nuisance but I'm pretty sure you're barking up the wrong turbine about this one

Mr Conscience, read and under stand the comments firstly before replying, yes i guess you are no expert on the law of nuisance, but understand this, if these turbines do go up, there will be a contest regarding the de-valuation of property wether it be with John Ward and Co, or with Enertrag. I do not only speak for myself on this but for every resident within a kilometre of the site who will face the prospect of loss.

Re: turbine carbon footprint

Just to point out there are no major residential areas within 1km of the site. There a few indivual houses though.

Re: turbine carbon footprint

Well those individual houses do have a right to complain. Danny, I'm making the point that you are all chasing after wind. You're going to sue for devaluation of property? Right, that's logical. Does that mean you can sue because the local farmers use chicken manure on their fields and make the area smell? You'd have one hell of a task to sue for property devaluation, do you really think that a court will give compensation to one person that will then open the 'floodgates'. If you don't understand this simple principle of public policy that the courts use - look it up.
