More BWAG incompetence...

Why is this even called the wildlife forum when 95% of the sightings of anything are birds? Why has no one reproted stuff like deers, or squirrils or nice stuff like that which you can see on a semi-regular to regular basis in Baumber

Why don't you just call it BWAG Birdwatchers United and be done with it?

Was there actually any point to this post or are you just high on crack? I'm gunning for the latter... LSD possibly?

And if there are deer why does no one report them? Its not like you see them everyday UNLIKE birds.

Re: More BWAG competence

well if I posted bambi had been seen there might have been a rush to disturb his habitat which were trying to protect,

which why turbines here are no good. But then again we always seem to have you guys criticising us for protecting what is a peaceful unspoilt peice of lincolnshire. We dont want it dug up and 8,000 tons of concrete buried under it

with great massive turbines wirling away producing little or no power... While we will still need the back up power stations when the wind dont blow. Subsidies cost us money on the bills, which line the pockets of the inefficent enertrags white elephants & you know who the farmer has a fat cheque each year... ANd they aint gonna save the planet now or ever....

Sounds equitable..... and hey the noise & health issues spread like the do.....

OK, fine. Well constructed argument there. You've won me over. Firstly, 8,000 tons? I'm presuming you mean what stabilises the turbines...

Wind turbines produce plenty of power. and rarely none, as there is practically always air movement at that height. It might seem calm down here, but up there is a lot windier.

Unspoilt piece of lincolnshire? Perhaps you should remove the signs, all the houses, litter then. Lincolnshire was never unspoilt.

Already mention the wind always blows at the height.

Subsidies issue cannot be commented on until it is announced there will be/won't be.

Already covered inefficient.

Now, last time I checked elephants were four legged mammals with huge ears and a truck, found primarily in Africa and Asia. Now I don't know what you've been taking, but a turbine is a sleek modern design... think modern windmill... The visual debate is personal OPINION ONLY.

Noise causing health issues CANNOT be argued one way or the other IT HAS NOT BEEN PROVEN EITHER WAY.

Now I've crushed your arguement, can we leave this section to birdwatchers & co?

are you the site moderator derek

Well derek no you havent crushed anything... I beg to differ regarding health issues... are you saying that genuine people who are suffering health problems are liars ? Reports are coming in across different countries and even within the UK that there are serious problems... sorry to disappoint ...You can keep posting on here to try and discredit the facts, you seem to be trying to mount your own campaign on here, what are your true motives ?..... given your many postings, now on very section your insistence looks very suspect.... trying to hijack the site are you ?

Re: More BWAG competence

Just to save you from having to scroll down four quotes I'll not bother quoting (Why can't this site implement quoting only last post?)

AGAIN, The health issue debate has not be PROVEN! I'm not calling anyone liars, but it has not been PROVEN. nor DISPROVEN, so NO ONE can argue either way.....

I come on here for a few minutes every few days and suddenly I'm a wannabe hijacker?

I think you'll find that the admin is Melvin, (not the lowercase 'melvin' probably, not sure who that is).

derek wot u on about

it doesnt say the admin is Melvin .. but then who know who derek is....!!!

Re: More BWAG competence

Actually you'll find it's not every day... every couple or so... and not for a week at the current run!

If you bothered to look around the site, you'll see Melvin is one of the heads of BWAG in real life... thus probably THE or one of the Admins.

Oh and I'm on a chair, what about you?

Re: More BWAG competence

Actually Derek I am not one of the admins on the site we have plenty of support to manage the site.

Im pleased you at least have a chair to sit on... I must admit you certainly have posted on here more than most and you do, really ,so Im told, amuse many people with your views... you really do need to read more about the wider issues concerning wind farms .. the whole debate over this public waste of money is gaining far reaching media coverage and I am actively liasing with many groups and powerful organisations to increase this awareness.

We are going to oppose Enertrag throughout the planning process and are very encouraged by the magnificent support BWAG is receiving from local residents, businesses and the farming community.

I am more than happy to meet with you and perhaps enlighten you so that you will be better informed and might actually get to appreciate what a unique pleasure it is living here....

Melvin Grosvenor

Re: More BWAG competence

I assumed you were admin as you are Chairman of BWAG. It was a logical assumption at least!

I fear if you do succeed in creating a panic over financing Wind Farms, that will ony make the situation worse as the fury over the Gas/Petrol companies profits combined with the campaign you're planning will certainly not help the outlook on future electricity production and other fuel uses.

Even though I am against the against here, I wish you luck on your campaign, as I am glad to see the Chairman can at least raise his arguement constructively.

I'm not sure if I do post here the most, but I probably am the person with the most posts under the one username!

Thanks,

Derek.

P.S. Glad to be of service!

Derek i hope you dont mind me poking my nose in here, but Its not the fact that their is fear over the panic regarding the financing of the wind farm, its the fact that we as tax payers are being mugged by this government again, what do you think enertrag are going to do if they get planning permission, sell the writes for the wind farm to the highest bidder? on the back of our tax contributions, and bugger off back to germany with a healthy profit.? and John ward the land owner what do you think he is going to do with his big fat wedge, i will bet you he wont be around for long, and i can assure you neither will be contributing or giving anything back to the local community, have you any idea how much money is to be earnt from a project like this?.

I am, and most of society are sick to death in keep financing this governments hair brain schemes with our tax money. derek if you get out more and actually talk and listen to people they are all saying the same thing, we are all getting ripped off!, it does`nt matter if its the price of electricity, fuel, water, or fish, they will still find a way of putting the frightners on everybody. Its all about bloody money, this is a fact!

Which just proves my point. We're already up in arms over the Gas/Oil Industries profits... if we panic over how it'll cost in 'subsidies' (which haven't been confirmed), then where shall we turn for electricity... Solar certainly isn't the answer.

Britain is the windiest country in Europe... let's utilise that fact whereever can. Every little helps.

derek your missing the point here, only in last sundays telegraph a senior engineer who works in the wind energy industry was quoted as saying, ` no wind turbine will ever recover even a fraction of the total energy expended in its construction, erection, and de-commissioning,` as i have said previously we are being mugged by this government, who are playing gesture politics with our tax money, if our government where serious about re-newable energy they spend more time and effort helping our scientists harnessing fusion power, or even hydrogen and water h20 power/energy. why! because to them we are mushrooms, kept in the dark and fed manure, or in wind energy speak, N,G,A,s
