Just a quick note for all of you who wish to comprehend the world we live in today a little more; The Drill Hall in Lincoln will be screening the film 'A Crude Awakening' on the Thursday 26th June 2008 at 7pm. The film documents the issues surrounding the fact that the world is realiant on a single finite resource, oil, and that this resource is now dwindling in supply (Peak oil). Becoming aware of this issue, which has recieved little media attention, should put to rest the misunderstanding that wind turbines are erected in order to reduce global warming. They're primary purpose is to provide sustainable power to the national grid which will soon be under major strain due no it's reliance on finite (an increasingly expensive) resources such as coal and gas.
