I have opinion

Dear BWAG

I am sorry if my english is not perfect. I am german.

I am here visiting english friend, and i notice signs that say 'No Wind Farms' with web adress. I came here to find out why you don't like wind farm. Where i live, in Germany, there is a wind farm next to playing field where my brother and me play football regularly. In my opinion, they are not ugly. I know that i do not live here in England, but i often go to the playing field where they are near in my hometown and my house is not far from playing field too. In our school they teach us the advantages of wind power, and i find that we have benifited from the wind turbines.

From Fabian.

(If there are any wrong words, please tell me, i want to improve my english).

Re: I have opinion

hello :)

there are in fact many people in england who are also supporting the idea of wind farms. the younger generation learn about the advantages to windfarms and other renewable energy resources but the older generation are still stuck in the dark ages worrying about the value of their houses...even though 75% said they'd buy a house near a wind turbine.

nearly every other country in the EU has made a huge contribution to renewable resources. every other house in spain has a solar panel because it obviously has many hours of sunlight or daylight. it's standing on its forte. as a flat county, lincolnshire gets a lot of wind but obviously taking full advantage of that would be simply rediculous.

thank you for your contribution, maybe one day these people will wake up and take a tip from germany! your english is excellent, i don't know a single word of german!

thanks

Re: I have opinion

do you want to buy a house in wispington, baumber...or any of the other areas that are going to be surrounding these monstrosities. If you'd taken the time to use 'google', (it's little known I appreciate - but it is actually there!) and actually looked at the opinion in the UK I think you'll find your thin air facts are a little...thin. The RICS (The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) actually believes it would lower property values and disuade potential buyers, but enough of hard and empirical facts. Actually no! Let's continue, it seems land that wouldn't be affected is agricultrual...surprisingly it's a farmer who's selling some of his land to have these things put up eh?

I am not a plastic bag (*slow clap*). Are you going to point out every typo anyone makes, or are you going to leave us alone to argue?

Indeed it was a typo. And indeed I did point it out. Mainly for a joke though. Those things you laugh at. Heartily.

Well to be honest, a joke has never made me laught. Clearly I have not been doing it right. I personally laughed. As did others. Ergo...it is a joke.

And anal? HA!

Re: I have opinion

Wait...what, we're picking on people's spelling now? Oh, and I can still hear the echoes of said laughter inter alia. But then we all like to look clever on internet forums by dropping in pretty words! I would nemo dat quod non habet myself into oblivion, but I really do own everything I choose to sell. Unfortunately, a certain farmer doesn't own the surrounding countryside and people have bizarrely enough decided to protest! Stone the crows, or should that be soar like an aquilla? God alone knows, I imagine.

I quite fancy the idea of nemo dat quod non habet-ing myself into oblivion. But can I still do it with 8 wind turbines less than a mile from my home?! Ha

Re: I have opinion

Of course you can, it's pretty easy. Quick example time!

Look beautiful countryside all around my property...but I'll sell you all a set of giant phallus' with a semi complete circumcision spinning around it to look at...for free!!

In the words of Gordon Ramsey: Done.
