To all those who oppose Wind farms

I know the social amenity effects of these monstrosities are uppermost in

people's minds, if you live close to one I am not surprised, but I must

say this. As you know they claim that increased emissions of carbon

dioxide from burning fossil fuels are causing global warming, leading to

climate change. The doomsters say this will alter life on earth

irreversibly, to the point of extinction. Their answer is wind farms at

enormous cost, leaving future generations with crippling repayments.

If all this were true then we could be faced with the choice of

annihilation or poverty. Given the instinctive will to survive our choice

seems obvious, so wind farm proponents will say that your view across a

beautiful landscape is unimportant, that your sleep deprivation has to be

accepted and that.........

However, this is deception. The truth is, that due to the intermittent

nature of the wind, these windmills, or turbines, just do not provide the

power we need and consume. To me, that is the crucial issue, in practical

terms they do not work.

Hence my contribution to the pamphlet was to provide the technical details

which outline the nonsense of wind farms. It is all a matter of Physics

and Chemistry, my teaching subjects for 39 years. I am very comfortable

with the provenance of these details; indeed, I know one of the

Loughborough University researchers personally. The figures speak for

themselves and I would urge you to use them because they are objective, as

opposed to the social amenity arguments which, forgive me, are subjective

and give the global warmers opportunities to tie this up in endless

debate.

Oh My Word, what hatefull and incorect rubbish. Makes me wonder about the use of M.E.P's and what on earth we pay them for! Windfarms are not the whole answer and no-one thinks they are, but I would like to see them being used as part of the answer. tell you what, lets burn some more coal, oil and gas and chuck some more smoke into our atmosphere and see if that helps. Crickey!
