Re: great job!

You all done good ,

Hi Greg , i am in the process of getting some info from a friend in Burnhope Durham who had the same problem but only two in there case and i do know that they have more down time than working from what i have been told , so one can deduce a blot on the landscape and a Govermental fools folly for the 21st Century .

Re: great job!

yea,ta for that mate, were talking eight "whoppers" here at this point in time, but one of our main concerns is the way that these insidious monstrosities have a nasty habit of spreading .My personal view on this is that Baumber and the surrounding parishes and countryside are being made "The Sacrificial Lamb" and are picking up the tab for an inept and seriously underfunded energy policy(eg; lack of funding for conventional power stations.over the last 10-15 years) Major investment is being poured into a mega offshore windfarm development (Centrica) offshore 5 km off Skegnessand elsewhere ,no problem with that at all-in fact the more out there the better, more wind,no disruption to peoples livelyhood and well being. The damage that will be brought to Baumber will be far more serious than any benefits,if any, that the local community will get. Cheers-keep em coming. Greg.

Re: great job!

Hi guys, not sure the local area appreciates how bad these things are going to be and how visible they'll be on the edge of the fens. I suggest doing what you can to get this made more public. I dont have a problem with wind farms, but why are they sticking them in peoples back yards when we're so close to the sea! Typical politicians sat in their London mansions letting the little country people get crapped on again Shame one greedy farmer had to sell out the whole region!!! If we let them get away with this then next we'll be waking up with our property devalued even further cos we live next a nuclear power plant!!! Good job chaps. E

Re: great job!

I would like to ask anyone out there if they know anything about the vibro acoustic desease which I understand they are now reserching to see if it causes problems to people living near these wind turbines. I am very worried that we are being used as guinnea pigs and in a few years time we will only then ,know the truth I do not understand how they are allowed to position these so close to residential homes and ruin our beautiful landscape.in the process.

I am shocked that this farmer has lived in the area for many years, raising his family, enjoying the beautiful countryside and now does not seem to have a problem leaving his neighbours and friends, with their homes devalued and futures in doubt.

Yer o.k. You're complaining about wind turbines and in your next breath you complain about nuclear. What do your want? A coal or oil power plant bellowing black smoke into the air? Lets see how baumber looks when acid rain eats the plants and kills the animals. That will devalue your property value more than a modern looking turbine.

I would also like to say that you are very intelligent and TRUTHFUL unlike half the people here.

After actually bothering to read the Manifesto, I feel it is my need to point out the massive gaping flaw in it.

'Do no create a division among the local people'

Oh dear. Too late.

I Concur, and on the front of your page "This website was produced by..." you have managed to miss the apostrophe - it's Baumber's not Baumbers. Honestly, you people complain about us children having problems with BASIC literary skills! BWAG.CO.UK - Hypocrisy in action.

Re: great job!

And speaking of which, how is it going to affect tourism? What bloody tourism, It's a 3 mile stretch of road with a pub that's closed down half the time and a petrol station!

Re: great job!

Oh it's been well established that BWAG don't have top notch literary skills. In fact, it's there in the name. BWAG. It's still missing the 'F', despite the fact there are two ( I counted ) threads pointing it out.

Come on now Derek. You are not really in a position to be commenting on other people's literary skills. As I eagerly point out and highlight to you. A lot

Re: great job!

Well if we're all going to start getting picky about spelling, all BWAG needs to do is hyphenate wind-farm and the abbreviation works nicely.
