i have to say i am dissapointed in the way in which residents are apposed to such a "future initiative" and using such petty reasons to argue against a neccesity for future life !
I too am a resident in Horncastle and I am amazed at the outcry the wind farms are creating. Such reasons as noise, (which will be minimal and no more than a normal typical generator, walk ways being ruined, and wildlife to follow, (i think animals are able to make their choices and it's all part of the circle of life they are in to move along if necessary to new homes, nothing and no one will impact them THAT much to even deem it unnatural. Then there is the reasons of the height, BIG DEAL, the flickering shadows which may cause epilepsy, my gosh the list is endless. Wha people are failing to see is the FUTURE. Typical Lincolnshire Folk, only thinking of themselves and NOW. There is no doubt about it we need more NATURAL means of providing energy for TODAY and most certainly for THE FUTURE !! The future is everchanging, wind farms are no big deal. They are theraputic to watchbetter to see on an horizon than a electricity plant or generator. Is this not the most natural form of providing energy that will not impact so greatly on all the little reasons you are wasting tax payers time over researching to find some small percentage !!!!! Get on with it i say, the future is changing, unfortunalty that means sometimes you cannot live in the 1800's where things are never allowed to change. Yes lincolnshire has more wind farms than it produces electricity for, but the west midlands has ore factories and industrial areas, yet i imagine everyday items you use are manufactured there. Its abolut being holisitc and wokring together, ot declaring the amount of electricity linconshire folk use is only for them !!!! Welcome to 2010. Think about the future, yes the walkways may get damaged and the traffic will increase whilst work is being undertaken, but if it's not started now, think about the consequesnces of global warming and pollution will have on the environment and wildlife overall !!!
